A slightly more cleaned up interpretation of this denim silhouette featured in Harper’s Bazaar is on my radar. And by that, I mean I won’t be stepping on any hems. But the the loose, relaxed and in turn rather comfortable aspect of this look is appealing. And I agree with the suggestion above on pairing wide-leg jeans with a pointed toe, low-heel bootie to add a hint of polish (plus elongate the look of the leg). My go to’s in denim, Mother and Closed, will be the first test models. TBC…

Yes, I’m trying to figure this out. Clearly, fashion is moving toward a more relaxed jean look, but being small (short), super baggy is not going to work. So, I’m trying to find my own version of this, and eager to see how you interpret it.

I’d work on finding a pair that are still fitted at the hip then relaxed through the leg. This silhouette also lends itself nicely to a low heel. Then keep the top part of the outfit trim and cropped. No need for a boxy blazer. Hope that helps!

Ann Mashburn and Zara have good options if you want to achieve this look, but are not 6 feet tall. Nili Lotan’s Shon pant with a heel would also work.

T. Armstrong, this is super helpful. Thanks!

Nili Lotan’s Flora jeans are pretty cool too.
paula c,
I never say no to relaxed jeans but really dislike the fading around the thigh area. I have yet to find one that actually works or looks good on me, so sticking to more of a darker wash.
