PACKING FOR A WEEKEND GETAWAY…
Although summer officially begins in June, for me, it doesn’t really feel like summer until the 4th of July. The combination of the notorious so-Cal June gloom, the busyness of end of the school year activities, and the prep and travel for the Junior Nationals volleyball tournament (always over the 4th), doesn’t leave much time to relax. So…the weekend of the 4th is my personal summer kick-off when things slow down a bit and I can enjoy the upcoming warmer days on the beach and vacation time with my family. Happy 4th!
The number one summer essential to wear from beach to city, a classic panama hat from Sensi Studio fits the bill. The white with black band is a fresh update.
I’ve been wearing a triangle top for years, so I’m switching it up with Lisa Marie Fernadez’s chic twisted, terry-cloth bandeau.
With a nod to nautical style, the perfect string bikini bottoms with classic ties by Calypso St. Barth will be part of the rotation.
A simple rose gold cuff to wear alone or stacked all summer by Jennifer Fisher.
Nicer than rubber flip flops, the TKEES ‘Foundation” leather sandals are a comfortable understated option for the beach and beyond.
I love having a variety of sunglasses to choose from and the cat eye by PRISM with a touch of blue is a chic shape that never goes out of style.
An oversized, relaxed linen shirt from CP SHADES goes from street to beach with ease. A summer staple I live in.
The ideal straw tote by MAR Y SOL in a hand crocheted fan pattern with comfortable leather straps for all the beach goods.
