I’m not sure where to begin with this house. Aside from its stunning design, there are so many well thought out and unique elements. It’s not easy to pull off a welcoming home designed predominantly in concrete, steel and glass, but I think it has been masterfully achieved here by McKimm Design. Organic and soft furnishings are the perfect contrast to the hard lines of the structure, while the addition of oak walls and ceiling add warmth. I fall for homes with floor to ceiling windows blurring the lines between the interior and exterior, which is used throughout. Beautiful views to the gardens and pool are seen from just about every room. The home is the right balance of current, contemporary design with a slight nod to the past hinting at mid-century architecture. Everything comes together to create a light filled home ready for relaxing or entertaining.

This house is so stunning! Do you know where it is? Have you ever seen the movie “Fracture”? It’s good, but I watch it again and again for the house, which this has the feel of.

The house is in Brighton, Australia. Has a very California feel to it though, don’t you think? Haven’t seen “Fracture” but will put it on my list!
