I always enjoy the images from a Chanel fashion show and FW2015 did not disappoint. Personally, I’ve never worn head-to-toe Chanel, but Karl Lagerfeld is a master of creating looks that are influential and inspire…especially the details. My take on the styling ideas from the FW2015 that I found most appealing are mentioned below:
The return of the brooch…especially those that have a nod to vintage. This one’s my favorite with a delicate wreath of flowers. They were also worn clustered.
Tie a bow…around your waist, in a slip of black smooth leather for a simple, chic way to pull together a skirted look.
Hair accessories count…we’ve already seen the stick barrette from other designers for fall but this version from Chanel will certainly be a quick sell. Headbands are always good and keep messy hair in check.
Fringed scarves…printed, silk scarves look even better when the edges are softly fringed. They come off a bit more nonchalant and less formal. Plus, the red in this particular one is directional for the season.
An updated classic…worn with every outfit the classic cap-toe slingback was made a tad more youthful with a tapered chunky heel and delicate sides. It looked great with every length and silhouette in the show. Shoe of the season.
A simple beauty…there are always a fair share of runway bags that look too gimmicky for my taste and play to the theme of the show (mini-spoons attached?) but then there’s always the ONE. For me, this is it…a small, classic flap in a gorgeous skin made even more stunning with a new short multi-chain strap. Wow.
