February is the month I start to get serious about spring and the pieces I’ll need to help me create some of my favorite looks from the season. I saved this photo from the Dior SS17 runway because I knew I’d want to interpret the outfit in a more casual/affordable way. I like the utilitarian element of khaki, in any silhouette, mixed and softened with the feminity of lace. To keep it from looking too conventional, it’s a good idea to throw in a few twists, like mismatched earrings and a bohemian style belt. And rather than match my shoes and bag, I’d opt for a nice combo of cognac and black. It creates a more thrown together look which is always more interesting.

Great post – just ordered the Zimmerman top. I have similar wide legged chinos by Rachel Comey (found also through you) and I think the top is perfect to dress them up a bit for Spring/Summer. And of course, it’ll look good with jeans too.
