THE LITTLE BLACK BLAZER

THE LITTLE BLACK BLAZER

Every now and then, I go off track into the land of prints, but my day-in-day-out preference is based on solid basics. I’ve spent years building a closet full of these staples with zero regrets. One mini obsession is a black blazer and I’ve collected more than a few. For summer, I love the three-quarter sleeve, slightly shrunken version perfectly created by The Row. I wear it with everything – jeans, skirts, shorts or dresses. A little black blazer is the easiest piece to add instant polish to even the most casual look. And yes, I wear it all summer long.

Shopping for pieces designed to be around for years to come takes restraint. Recognizing the weight of their importance to a thoughtfully created wardrobe allows the editing process to move along with ease. I’ve found a number of my favorite timeless pieces at MyTheresa. Of course, their inventory also includes the best pieces of the moment, but I turn to MyTheresa as my go-to source for solid investment pieces. With tax and duty included in their pricing, I feel like I’m often getting the best pricing available on luxury items. Plus, their prompt two-day shipping and amazing customer service have made me a repeat customer.

The Row schoolboy blazer is a perfect example. It’s an essential part of their collection season after season and I can’t recall ever seeing it go on sale. I’m pairing it in this post with other timeless pieces I think are important to have in a well-stocked classic closet. Use it as the anchor for a travel wardrobe, or as the last piece you’ll grab before heading out the door.

I have the black and cream School Boys. I love them. The cream is a beautiful color. They are my go-to toppers. I hope and pray that I will be able to enjoy them again some time soon.

I love the shade of the cream jacket. Perfect.

All beautiful options, Karima. I am confused about the blazer’s sizing? MT indicates it runs small, but NAP says true to size? What is your opinion and what size are you wearing, if you don’t mind sharing. Also, your home is beautiful.

Thank you. I think it runs a bit small across the chest. I’m usually a size 6 and am wearing a size 8 in The Row jacket.

Yes that’s great. I also have a white linen blazer, sharpens up summer outfits, including jeans.

    Hi Karima,

I think you had them on past posts and they were out of stock, but can you me who makes your white loafers with black soles?

    Thank you!
