I like to start the month off with a mood board that reflects what’s on my mind, what I feel like wearing and things that appeal to me now. I’m focusing more on a neutral palette that’s making it easy to transition to spring and give some of my darker apparel a rest. I have two pair of ecru jeans in rotation, one from Mother (The Rambler) with a long, straight leg and the other from Sylvrlake (London) which are slightly cropped (above). I’m putting to use a range of neutral cashmere sweaters and pale jackets which when paired with ecru or white jeans immediately makes a sophisticated statement. A scarf is sometimes needed to keep me comfortable on cool days. I’ve collected so many over the years when I travel as a memento, so selecting one to wear is a little trip down memory lane. A chic tote pulls everything together.
Other things on my mind this month are decor and travel. I shared a glimpse of Gwyneth Paltrow’s home in a previous post and love how she and her design team created neutral spaces that felt warm, organic and unique. Beige never looked so good.
I’m antsy to get back to traveling and am obsessed with experiencing places that are connected with nature. After a friend just returned from The Green O with high praise, it’s jumped to the top of my go-to places for the year. One of my favorite instagram travel accounts is Jamie Edward’s I Am Lost And Found. She recently wrote up a detailed review of The Green O which confirmed for me that this is a must visit destination. Now I just need to decide what time of the year will be best to visit. I may have to make that decision on when the Tree Haus is available. It doesn’t get much better than that.
