While most people in California are complaining about the cold weather we’ve had lately, I embrace it. I actually love the change and wish we had more of it. Besides the cozy mood it inspires, it gives me a chance to break out a coat. I probably have too many for my lifestyle, but they’re one of my weaknesses. They get the most exposure when I travel so I’m reviewing what I have to check for any voids.
The light weight pea coat I wore in January in Palmetto Bluff was great for that trip, but it made me aware of its limitation on providing warmth. I’d like something a little heftier and roomier to layer over sweaters. The quiet details on the Blaze Milano jacket above is in the running along with a few others I’ll test drive from Mytheresa. Although navy and black are my go-tos, I’d be happy to try something in a peat brown or mossy green.

I’m thrilled to again partner with Mytheresa on this post. It’s a favorite online destination to shop for fashion edited to my taste. And with fresh products arriving daily, I never miss my morning email to see what’s new. I often find exclusive items and designers on Mytheresa I’ve not seen on other sites, or pieces in a color way other retailers don’t stock…like the Blaze Milano jacket above. Orders arrive within days and the return process is a breeze.
Thank you Mytheresa for supporting A Note on Style by sponsoring this post.

Love the pea coats. Living in the Midwest, wool is such a nice, cozy change about now from down. Can you fill us in on who makes the jeans and striped turtleneck?
Karima
The jeans are Mother and the striped turtleneck is COS (linked in last week’s post).

Absolutely love the Bottega Veneta twill coat! Perfect navy color with beautiful details. And the cotton twill seems like it will allow for year-round wear here in Southern California. Thanks Karima!

I found a black cashmere blend peacoat on a resale sight last year and have worn it repeatedly. Always get compliments. Such a great, timeless style.
