These silhouettes are all staples in my closet. In fresh colors with little tweaks and new updated fabrications they’d elevate many of the looks I like to wear. The drawstring waist on the Max Mara shirt dress saves the style from predictable status. Ballerina flats get a lift with texture either woven leather, mesh or crochet. Skirts have replaced jeans on many occasions and I often style them the same way – with flats and a sweater. The newness here is in a gorgeous cognac leather. Soft bags with no logos have been my preference of late. My favorite is Bottega Veneta’s Andiamo. A slouchy hobo is next on my list. Khaite does this well. Knits are made modern with a shot of red or tie/embellished details. A good belt and a statement cuff are simple, perfect finishing touches.
