Just spent a week on the beach in Hawaii in my gear from years past and think it’s time to add a few new items to the rotation. Going for a neutral palette always makes sense for me and since I rarely wear-out beach wear, I don’t mind spending a little more on quality pieces that will last and feel great on.
I always travel with a long sleeve cover-up for cooler days and to keep my skin protected if I’ve had too much sun. This embroidered caftan (similar) from Zeus + Dion is simple, lightweight and fits the bill perfectly. As an alternative, the loose poncho (similar) by Lemlem would be great over a swimsuit and look equally chic over black shorts or cropped slim pants for evening. I have a hat similar to this Panama hat but sadly it has completely lost its shape and needs to be replaced…I think the white with black band combo looks really fresh. The depth and size of the Sensi Studiowoven tote (solid) would come in handy, since I’m usually the one carrying all the gear. The leather sandals by Jack Rogers are a classic resort staple and easily transition from beach to street. And lastly, I’m in love with the handcrafted yet elegant Poseidon Pendant (sold out) by Zeus + Dion on a black tied leather cord…one simple piece of jewelry to wear all summer.
