I’ve had my eye on several of these pieces in some variation for awhile. I think they all pass the test of adding a certain stylish flair to many of the classic pieces I, and probably most of you, own. I like to zero in on these types of items to allow me to pick and choose which will make the most impact on freshening things up now without looking dated in a few seasons.
Vince – a thin ribbed turtleneck will be the fundamental layering piece to have this fall. Finding the right fit is key, and I happen to like the shape and softness of this one from Vince. The price is right too.
Marni – a vest is proving to be the perfect transitional topper with skirts, pants, and dresses. I love the options available right now, from tailored pieces in suiting fabric to relaxed furs and loopy knits. This may be as close as I get to wearing a coat for awhile with our summer weather showing no signs of fading.
Balenciaga – I can’t recall the last time I saw so many variations on the wrap skirt. The circle eyelet ring adds to the beauty and drape and makes this one a standout.
Mansur Gavriel – the must have, grab it the second you see it, Mansur Gavriel bucket bag looks both sporty and elegant in cream. I’m really liking the contrast of a light bag against an all black story.
Gianvito Rossi – the perfect shade of red on the perfect mid heel ankle boot…what’s not to love? These would finish off a number of looks beautifully.
Lanvin – a bold necklace resting against a flat knit always lends a sophisticated air and this multi-dimensional statement piece from Lanvin is a modern classic I’d be happy to have in my closet ready to boost many outfits.
