It’s The Little Details That Keep Classic Pieces Fresh

It’s The Little Details That Keep Classic Pieces Fresh

I’m forever hunting down classic pieces that feel new without looking trendy. The details, some subtle, others bold, are what make them fresh. A higher waist, longer length, or fuller sleeve are what I’ve got my eye focused on right now. Thick soled, but not clunky, sandals are also on my radar. The bucket bag still looks great, but even more so with a rope handle.

This skirt reminds me of one of my favorites from fall – a Helmut Lang black leather wrap skirt that I wore often with a crisp, white shirt and flats. As the weather warms, I’ll take the same idea forward through spring, switching out the leather skirt and replacing it with lightweight cotton. The stitching and wrap detail on this skirt from Joseph. are super chic.
