As soon as there’s even the slightest nip of fall in the air, blazers and jackets that have been pushed towards the back of my closet come out. I have favorites and look forward to their seasonal return. This classic light-weight peacoat is one such item. I’m excited to wear it with some of the new pieces I’ve picked up for fall, specifically a pair of faded flared jeans. A short sleeve tee will do for now, but I’m also envisioning them with a printed silk blouse (channeling Celine), and when it cools off, a chunky turtleneck (very Ali MacGraw/Love Story). A rich, brown boot is the perfect anchor.

I also like easing into the season by topping off a white denim monochromatic story with a dark peacoat. SLVRLKE and Isabel Marant Etoile offer straight cut jeans in a nice range of creamy whites that are my current favorites. The LONDON from SLVRLKE is about as basic as a pair of jeans can get. Stovepipe leg, no distressing, a high waist – I have this unassuming cut in several washes. I’ve been wearing them with flat sandals but the length also accommodates a loafer or boot easily. This ivory pair is in my cart now. The Corsyj from IM in white is another winner to achieve this look.

I’ve been collecting classics like this for years and have purchased a number from Mytheresa. You may remember this same peacoat in ivory from a spring post. For me, Mytheresa is a one-stop shop where I find head-to-toe outfits or stand-alone exceptional pieces. Shipping is fast, even with all the disruptions of late, and my purchase arrives within two days. I often find the best prices for luxury items on Mytheresa as well, with duty and tax already included. Since I love to shop Mytheresa, I am pleased to continue an ongoing collaboration with them.
Thank you Mytheresa for supporting A Note on Style by sponsoring this post.
