A PAIR OF JEANS – DAY ONE

A PAIR OF JEANS – DAY ONE

Most of my outfits are anchored around a pair of jeans. A classic, straight fit with an authentic wash is my go-to style. Their versatility is endless. With that in mind, I’m creating six looks this week with the same pair of jeans. I’ll pair them with other closet favorites – blazers, loafers, sweaters, boots – and a few beauty picks that I personally endorse and use regularly.

For the first look, I wanted to look at a fresh way to wear one of my standard uniforms of jeans and a blazer. It’s a no-brainer toss on and go look when I’m wear them with a tee and sneakers. But to kick it up a notch, I like the idea of layering a collarless blazer over a top with an interesting neckline. A straight cut (bustier or tank) is eye-catching and creates an opportunity to expose a bit of skin in a modern way. With tweed and loafers, any tweaks for a more feminine vibe I’ll take. I’ll play that mood up further with Westman Atelier’s pink shimmer (obsessed!) and add a patterned scarf to pull all of these notes together. Gold accents feel traditional yet very of the moment so I’d intentionally go a little bolder with a beautiful link necklace, heavy hoop earrings and statement buckle loafers.

The best part is each of these items have numerous styling options. Picture the jeans swapped out for black trousers, the jacket tossed on over a slip dress (or it’s matching skirt), the loafers with a belted shirt dress, and the bustier topping a midi silk skirt with sandals for evening.
