I stick to a very tight core group of beauty products. Because I don’t like to wear much makeup, my focus is to strive for a natural look without over correcting the things that bother me. Specifically, brown spots and irregular skin tone. Lately those spots have become more pronounced along with flare ups of blotchy skin. I did a bit of homework and testing to find something that would help address them and settled on a two part system using a Clé de Peau primer and concealer. The Correcting Cream Veil is a sheer primer (with SPF) that magnificently smooths and provides a true brightening effect. It’s become a must in my makeup regimen. The primer acts as a great base to then apply the Concealer SPF 27 on spots or areas of redness. At the moment, this is by far my favorite concealer for coverage with the added benefit of SPF. It’s opaque enough to conceal yet blends beautifully.
A nude lip with just a hint of color complements the natural look I’m going for. I’m a huge fan of Westman Atelier products and immediately jumped on the new lip suede compact in a pale palette. I can create a custom neutral, peach or pink lip mixing the colors or use the shades to enhance or tone down another lipstick color. I prefer a soft matte lip so no gloss for me, but if I feel like adding a touch of moisture, I use a swipe of Clé de Peau Lip Glorifier. I have two shades, peach and red, and think they are universally appealing.
