A FORMULA FOR CARRY-ON PACKING

A FORMULA FOR CARRY-ON PACKING

For an early September trip to New York last year, I packed a carry-on with the pieces above. I had more than enough outfits to go through mixing and matching as needed for specific occasions. I’m saving this as a what to pack mood board to refer back to for future travel. I’d use the same formula any time of year to a destination with mild-weather. A black blazer was all I needed to pull most outfits together. I wore it with a belted white dress and heeled sandals then more casually paired it with a t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers. High-waist pleated pants worked brilliantly with a variety of tucked in blouses creating a pulled together, polished look. I brought a cardigan to alternate with the blazer and loved wearing it with a crisp poplin shirt and jeans. When I’m packing for a destination where the weather borders on warm, I usually include loose trousers and a cotton dress. Practically speaking, I wasn’t lacking for anything to wear.
