We’re planning a trip to France and I’ve love recommendations. I haven’t been in years. Suggestions on restaurants, shops, hotels, anything of interest in both Paris and the South of France are welcome!
This weekend, I went through a few old magazines. I needed a digital detox. Although the print imagery was hard to adjust to (not bright enough/unable to zoom in), I absorbed more of the content. It made me realize how quickly I flip through the digital versions, rarely taking the time to fully read the articles. I know print publications are a dying industry, but there’s something to be said about the power of physically holding a magazine, dog earring pages and enjoying the slow perusal of content.
I’ve been on the lookout for a flat, silver sandal. One to slip on with jeans or a dress as I’m running out the door. The pair above from Fendi work beautifully for this purpose. I’m considering them in colors too.

I’m headed to Paris late April- can’t wait to get back there.
One of the best things we have done in the city is Paris by Mouth food tour. If you haven’t done it, its worth every penny!

We were in Paris right before COVID and stayed at the Saint James and it was lovely. The Fondation Louis Vuitton was wonderful & within walking distance. Have a marvelous trip Karima!

We just celebrated our anniversary in Paris! We always enjoy dinner at Chez Georges and on this trip we also tried Le Duc-it was fabulous! Fagotparis is a good spot for a far more casual meal outside-veggie forward & really delicious. Looking forward to more posts! Have a great trip!

Thank you for the recommendations!

Hi Karima,
One of my favourite places in the south of France is in Gordes, called La Bastide de Gordes. Such a beautiful hotel and spot.
Also loved Les Alpilles in St- Remy, the exterior is stunning but the rooms left a bit to be desired. Just booked a trip to Paris this fall … can’t wait to hear your recommendations!

Hi!
We absolutely love Hotel Therese in Paris. Wonderful location, on a quiet street.

Sounds exciting! I loved Villa Gallici in Aix de Provence and Hotel La Mirande in Avignon. LaBastide de Gordes was also lovely. Will think of more…

The bar at the new Hotel Cheval Blanc has stunning views–very fun, “happening” place to have a drink.
