I have three black loafers headed my way. Assuming they’re equally comfortable, I’ll have to decide which are the keepers based on other variables. I like each of them for different reasons. I’m a big fan of a lug sole which put the VLogo from Valentino in the running. It’s definitely the sportiest of the three. The details on the boyfriend style from The Row are well thought out and so good. Subtle, yet unique and eye catching. That gathered toe box is fantastic and the sole is completely flat which adds additional interest. The slim styled, square toed Gucci will be a forever classic, but is it special? Do I want to add another horsebit (shoe or bag) to my wardrobe? The slightly elevated heel makes it the most feminine option of the above though.
All three styles would work equally well with the looks I wear most – jeans, dresses and trousers. Socks optional. I’ll circle back when they’ve all arrived.

Karima, you really had me a few weeks ago with the Fendi loafer that you posted on. I love this new Gucci style because of the heel height, but I tend to lean towards a heavier sole. Can’t wait to hear your feedback after these arrive.

I bought The Row loafer pictured. It’s got a cool, tomboy vibe to it. Very different from the chunky versions pictured. Also, bought The Row eel loafer, which is a bit more refined.

I agree with you about the Gucci, I’m kind of burning out on my Gucci. I’m into Valentino now and have been this past year. Put the Gucci away for a time (including the belts). The Valentino loafer is more current.

Love each of them but the Valentino is my fave – classic with a cool twist. I also love the Gucci as well. I recently purchased the classic Gucci black loafer (have been wanting them for awhile) so I’m excited to wear those when the Fall arrives. I’m usually a late adopter on trends.
