Under the vision of Creative Director Matthieu Blazy, Bottega Veneta is the brand on everyone’s radar. The Spring 2023 collection is a continuation of his Fall 2022 debut with layers and color but perhaps the new signature for Bottega is combining humble everyday pieces (a white tank top or henley) with extravagant, artisanal pieces. Standout details include a white layered flounce hem under skirts, dresses and knitwear. I love this bit of styling. The pop of white continues throughout the collection in the form of tank tops layered under necklines or peaking out below sweaters. A white henley tee was paired with more formal skirts, a detail we can all certainly interpret in our wardrobes. Iconic Bottega intrecciato is elevated with a modern weave that feels familiar but new. We’ll see this in the shoes and handbags building on its introduction from Fall 2022. There were plenty of amazing technical knits and brightly colored fringe dresses (truly beautiful!) but I’m keeping my focus on the more subdued color palette of black and white with a pop of burgundy. I’ll start my wishlist with one of those bags. See the full collection on Vogue Runway.
