EVENT DRESSING

EVENT DRESSING

Over the last couple of weeks on Instagram, I shared several dresses I ordered for upcoming events. From full-length beaded gowns to flowing, all-over florals, I tried on a wide range of styles which are still viewable in a stories highlight titled DRESSES.

I ended up keeping two of the above (florals) for separate events. I wore the Lela Rose embroidered dress (lower left) over the weekend with the addition of Wolford fishnet stockings and a Chanel bag.

The allover floral from Andres Otalora (top right) will be saved for an event in Florida. The print and feel of the fabric is more appropriate for warm seasons or destinations.

Ultimately, I’ve come to the conclusion all-over beading doesn’t suit me. The dress in the lower right corner was a favorite by many but it was so heavy. A lighter weight sequin paillette would be up for consideration.

And the top left dress was too body-con for me. Perhaps appropriate for a News Year Eve event…

On another note, I saw some beautiful dresses worn at a wedding over the weekend. The Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom took top honors in their choices, and plenty of guests wore elegant dresses similar to the below.

Hi Karina. Love your post but there aren’t links to the dresses you reference in your last paragraph.
