I’m taking my winter staples – black and brown sweaters, loafers and boots – and pairing them with crisp white denim. The combo gives new life to some of the pieces I’ve been wearing on repeat for the last few months. I’d throw on one of my pea coats if I carried this look through the evening. For those of you who aren’t on board with wide leg jeans, a relaxed straight leg works just as well.
When wearing a wide leg jean or trouser, I prefer to have the lift of a lug sole shoe (if I’m wearing a flat). It makes a huge difference visually. I have the Celine Margaret Chelsea boot in black and it does the trick. Same with my VLOGO loafers. They’re both items I go to constantly for comfort and style.
