Town and Country magazine recently highlighted the Gucci Horsebit 1955 as “a bag for all seasons, worth buying in multiple colors”. Seeing that I have two versions, I couldn’t agree more. The style is timeless inspired by an archival design introduced over six decades ago. Because of its rigid structure, I prefer wearing it as a shoulder bag versus a crossbody, so I keep the straps at their shortest length. Grained leather or GG canvas is forgiving to everyday wear and tear. There are only a few bags I’ve bought in doubles with the Horsebit 1955 being one.
