EVENING MAKEUP

EVENING MAKEUP

I packed what I considered my tried and true makeup for a recent trip. I don’t usually give much thought to daily makeup since it’s kept to a minimum but I had a wedding to attend plus several dinners where I felt like dressing up. The products I brought seemed off, specifically foundation and concealer. They weren’t covering my spots or under eye circles. The texture wasn’t melting into my skin like at home and looked terribly artificial. In a pinch, I picked out some new products and am more than pleased. An ILIA Serum Foundation worked beautifully for coverage and texture. I like the consistency better than another ILIA foundation I had at home with SPF. Same with the concealer. Super coverage with minimal application and a natural finish. I finished off with a setting spray I tapped on my skin with fingertips.

The other products I brought from home balanced well with the new foundation. My go to duo of Victoria Beckham eye pencils are still the best. I softened the liner with Chanel Les Beiges eyeshadow and completed with Le Volume de Chanel mascara. New for me and absolutely fantastic! A pop of saturated lip color from Dior was the finishing touch. I love it and have several colors from a nude pink to true red.

Victoria Beckham Eye Pencil in Navy Noir and Night Flash(I also have cocoa)

ILIA Serum Foundation in SF3, ILIA concealer in SC1 (I will probably add another in a warmer tone too.)

Le Volume de Chanel mascara (never want to run out – buying back stock now!)

Dior Rouge Forever Lipstick in 720 Forever Icone, also have in 100 Forever Nude and 458 Forever Paris,

I’ve never been a fan of eyeshadow multiples since I feel as if I’m paying for more that I don’t like, but I love this Chanel compact. The product goes on great and stays in place. Appreciate the concealer recommendations as well. I need something that covers, but doesn’t end up looking crepe-y or drying out in spite of how much eye cream I use.

You look so pretty! Would you share the blush you used with these products?
