SIX PIECES FOR SUMMER VACATION

SIX PIECES FOR SUMMER VACATION

When I’m vacationing at a warm weather destination, resort oriented, on the water, these are a few things I pack.  A day-to-night dress that could also serve as a cover up, a raffia packable hat, some type of woven straw bag that goes beyond the beach, and a wear with everything flat sandal. The final touch to punctuate the look is a single statement piece of jewelry – real or faux. For a sun kissed look, Westman Atelier’s Face Trace Contour Stick provides a natural glow and fits neatly in my bag.

Asceno Dress – light and breezy, wear to the beach or dress up for dinner. I go for the simplest styles in this category for maximum versatility.

Gigi Burris Packable Bucket Hat – a wide brimmed bucket hat for a dose of shade is a must. The more flexible, the better so I can roll it in my handbag when I don’t feel like wearing.

Zimmerman Bag – I like that this is not your typical straw tote. It has a more refined edge making it perfect for off the beach events. The Polo Ralph Lauren Bellport Tote below is a great option too. And, it’s on sale.

K Jacques Sandal – a no-fuss, slide on and go easy sandal that moves from beach to street with ease. The Jack Rogers are great too, see more below.

Irene Neuwirth Ring – I love Irene Neuwirth jewelry. She has such an amazing eye for color and scale, as in this ring. What a beauty. When I travel, I’ll take one statement piece of jewelry, either an oversized ring, bold cuff, or pendant necklace, all workable with most looks I’ve packed.

Westman Atelier Face Trace Contour Stick – my preferred non-powder bronzer. Easy to apply on the go. I swipe it across my forehead, down my nose and straight across my cheek…the places the sun would hit first. No contouring. I use the color biscuit. Other options below, including Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick – currently 25% off here.
