In last week’s post, I highlighted styles I’ll add to my closet to give fall looks a bit of currency. The pieces are all basic, but provide an opportunity for fresh styling.
At the top of my list is a heeled loafer. I’m wearing longer jeans and floor skimming trousers lately, and like to have a comfortable stacked heel for extra height. The heft of a heeled loafer with dresses and skirts also appeals to me right now. I’ll wear them bare legged now and with socks or tights later.
After trying on several, I’m going with the Bottega Veneta Monsieur Loafers. In addition to being comfortable, I like the sheen of the polished leather and the sharp hardware. They look pretty on too. I purchased them in black, a safe choice, but am considering doubling up and getting the brown too.
