After getting (and loving) the BR Luna cashmere sweater I previously wrote about, I took a second look at the BR site. The loose stitch Fadma cashmere-silk pullover caught my eye. Unsure on the sizing and quality, I visited their store near my home. It’s another winner. Incredibly soft. The sleeves are long – perfect for scrunching. I think the proportions and silhouette give it a modern look. And the slightly irregular weave adds a handmade look. I also like the boxy Nadia cable sweater in cream. They’re both just easy great sweaters to toss on. Excluding most cashmere pieces, BR is having a November Preview Sale with 40% off. The Nadia and Mona sweaters are included, (I’m buying both), and I also like the maxi silk skirts and this pleated style.
BR is doing a good job updating their image and elevating the quality of their products. That’s not saying everything is good. Visiting the store shed light on the good and the bad, so tread with caution.
I’m also impressed with Polo ID bags from Ralph Lauren. The hobo is an old school classic at a fabulous price. The suede is fabulous. Calfskin available here and here. And the green is beautiful. Suede here.

I agree that BR is beginning to hit it’s stride again with quality and timeless pieces with a slight edge. The last couple years were not good.
