Summer style really comes down to what I’m wearing in August. The weather is finally aligned with the season, and I get to pull out the pieces I’ve been longing to wear. At home or for travel to warm destinations, I have it down to a three item combination…a great dress, flat sandals and a textured raffia bag. This week, I’m sharing a new look every day of favorites (still available and many on sale) for inspiration to round out summer style before shifting gears to fall.
Proenza Schouler White Label cotton poplin dress – easy to style for city or vacation. Love adding the texture of a raffia bag and shoes, but could just as easily pair it with black for a sharp contrast.
Ferragamo raffia “Hug” bag – perfect for when something with a little more polish, a little less beach is called for. The mini, shown here, has an additional long leather strap for cross-body wear. A more spacious medium size is available here. I also like Saint Laurent’s Sac de Jour for the same reasons.
