I’ve looked for a good navy peacoat the last few seasons. One that’s not too boxy or stiff and long enough to hit just below my hips. I never committed to any mostly because the fabric was too heavy for California temps. That problem is now solved. The Cyril peacoat from Isabel Marant Etoile has all the details I was looking for – peak lapels, sharp shoulders, narrow arms, nondescript buttons – but in a tightly woven knit. It feels more like a cardigan then a coat and has a relaxed edge due to its softness. The best part is the weight…it’s substantial but definitely not too heavy. Finally found!
