“Built to Last” – that’s the name of this Harper’s Bazaar story highlighting clothing with a utilitarian twist. Cargo and trench inspired are the details to look for now in jackets, pants and accessories. Find a piece with a great fit and it will serve you well for seasons to come. I have a pair of high-waist Helmut Lang cargo pants from several years ago that I’m glad I never parted with. They’ll be in heavy rotation this spring.

Hi Karma
Firstly thank you for being a constant source of inspiration for a beautiful lifestyle. I have finally found somewhere I can relate to and actually items I would want in my life. I live in the UK and would like to order the Vince utility skirt you featured in a previous post on some key items from Vince. I was wondering if you bought the skirt and if you are pleased with it. I ask as I will have to ship the skirt from USA as completely sold out here.
Good choice on the Kit Kemp Firmdale hotels, I always stay there when I visit London.
Thank you
Joanne

First thank you for the nice comment. I loved the skirt too but returned it. I’m 5’9″ and it wasn’t long enough. The style is good but the fit wasn’t right for me and ran large. I would suggest sizing down if you decide to purchase.
