Hand-delivered fresh flowers seem like the ultimate gift for Mother’s Day this year. With seven weeks in on social distancing, personal interaction feels like a true luxury. Since that’s not an option, I’ve curated a small list of thoughtful gifts to send that would also be welcomed.
Love your black espadrilles. Who makes them? Also, I know this is a crazy question but what size jeans do you wear? You look so good in straight leg jeans but when I try them they just look like I am wearing jeans that are too big for me. Do you size down for jeans that are meant to be skinny jeans? Im 5’4 1/2″ and typically we are a 26 but when I get the 26 in straight leg jeans they do not look right. any pointers for me?
Hi Meg, I have the same problem. I’m 5’4 ish as well. I size down and buy a 9-9 1/2” rise. So, skinny jeans are a 26 but straight legs are 25.
I’m the same size as you. I size down to a 25 and I find a rise
of 9-9 1/2 “ works best. Super high rise pants make me and waist look that much shorter.
Hi Meg. There are so many little variations on straight leg jeans so I know what you mean. I look for cuts that are slim/straight with a snug fit through the thighs. Mother Denim, Citizens of Humanity and AG are my favorite. I’m a size 27.
My leather espadrilles are Chanel from years ago. They’ve held up incredibly well!
Why would you want to risk the health of your mother by delivering fresh flowers in person? To do so seems very selfish by disregarding her health and the health of the medical community.
Lydia – Flowers could be delivered in person just as meals, medications and groceries are. Personal interaction doesn’t mean close contact. Perhaps you should re-read the post as I say nothing about actual contact.
I like the black espadrilles as well.
I love all of your suggestions! We have a local flower grower and I swing in to help her business out regularly. Leaving flowers on someones porch brightens my day just as much as theirs!
I couldn’t agree more! Flowers are always welcome.🌸
Evidently “Lydia” did not read your post very closely.
