JUNE BUYS – BASIC BUT FRESH

JUNE BUYS – BASIC BUT FRESH

Although I have several items on my summer wishlist, I haven’t pulled the trigger on any purchases yet. Instead, I found a few pieces on Mytheresa that, in my world, are season-less. They’re also pretty basic, but introduce a fresh styling element.

Swapping in a wide leg jean in a faded wash for a straight style adds a modern note to an outfit. This pair by Loewe hits all the right marks with a high waist and an exaggerated hem. I also like how they’re stiff enough to hold a shape and lay flat on my stomach. I’d opt for a pair long enough to skim right above the floor too. Relaxed, loose silhouettes are having a moment and I’m all in. Scroll down for others in various price points.

A new tote in a beautiful cognac leather will look fantastic with all my summer whites, but also transition to fall colors with ease. Another Loewe find, I like the size of this tote and the two sets of handles are a bonus. The house’s anagram logo is subtle and chic.

After purchasing an Ami Paris striped shirt earlier this year, I decided to get one in white too. The shape is simple, basic and uncomplicated. It fits like a classic tailored shirt avoiding the oversized features and extra long tails many shirts have lately.

I found all of these items on Mytheresa, where if you’ve been a long time reader, you know is one of my favorite shopping sites. Along with great merchandising, the inventory is updated five days a week so there’s always something new. Plus their customer service, speedy shipping and thoughtful packaging is top notch.

THANK YOU MYTHERESA FOR SUPPORTING THIS POST.

There are more pieces from Mytheresa (lots on sale) in my spring post: Transitioning to Spring and Beyond

Is the belt Loewe too? Love it!

The belt is Altuzarra also from Mytheresa. It’s so versatile!

Are the white jeans the Levi’s style you like? Also at first I thought you had a “wedding” type ring on your right middle finger. It caught my eye because my mom gave her wedding ring to me when she passed away and I thought you might be wearing your mothers. I was thinking to size it for middle finger right hand. I also have a large solitaire wedding ring no longer in use and as I get older hate to leave it sitting in deposit box. Maybe a post on re-purposing wedding rings and referrals? I’m sure I’m not alone!

Yes to both! The white jeans are Levi’s and the ring was my mother’s. In the ring’s current setting, it reminds me of her, but I’m considering resetting it. All a little too fresh to make a decision right now though.

Love these looks on you Karima! Are the gold hoops ones you have on recently purchased? If so, could you please tell me what brand? Thank you

Thank you Amelia. The hoops are actually silver. They’re by Christofle.
