I’m excited to update my everyday basics for the season. I’m looking for familiar silhouettes already a core part of my wardrobe that will look modern with a tweak in proportion, color or detail.
Take a go-to pairing of chinos and white. I’d normally style with black or brown accessories, but popped with color, the look feels fresh. Miu Miu staged the comeback for chinos this season in a dramatic, low slung fit. The silhouette is not my speed, but the overall aesthetic most definitely is. Instead, I’ll turn to a high waisted, wide leg style similar to the Veronica Beard pair above, but a slim cut would also do the trick. I’ll wear both.
I never regret adding a good white poplin shirt to my closet. The cropped, boxy cut and three quarter sleeve option above are details that make this one special. There’s also something to be said about the simplicity of this shirt. It’s a nice alternative to a puffy sleeve or fancy collar variety, although I still like both.
>A small bag and bold jewelry are good additions to balance the other pieces. Personally, if I’m wearing a bright shoe, I’ll keep the bag neutral and vice versa.
white shirt, pants, sandals, bracelet (similar), mini tote

We are going to Capri and Positano next month, and I’m definitely considering the orange Valentino sandals for the trip, but when I took a look at other sandals I found the Valentino Summer Stud Sport Sandals and I ordered them immediately! We’ve been to these places before and I’ve been desperately searching for a pair of high-end sandals that can handle all of the hills and the thousands of stairs and I think that these are the right ones! I’m still considering the orange dress sandals for sure. Thanks Karima!

I’ll have to take a look at the sport sandal. They could be perfect for travel! Report back on fit please.
