CORE PIECES TO PACK FOR COOL WEATHER

CORE PIECES TO PACK FOR COOL WEATHER

When I think about what to pack for a trip, I start by compartmentalizing themes. I have a day and night theme and within those worlds a core group of pieces to anchor the looks. For example, I’ve selected the above items (variations I have in my own closet) as key pieces I know are comfortable, stylish, warm and versatile. They’ll lay the groundwork for most day looks.

Sneakers could be swapped for boots, a coat for a trench, sweater for a shirt and a number of scarves will fill in as needed. The COS turtleneck is a new purchase I also bought in black, and striped. It will provide numerous layering opportunities if it gets chilly. The J.Crew jeans are a new purchase too. I sized up for a very relaxed look.

I always minimize my jewelry when traveling, ideally selecting pieces that go from day to night. These earrings are perfect for that.

The Row coat, COS turtleneck in cream, black or stripe, earrings, Toteme baseball hat, Loro Piana scarf, Dior Beauty lipstick, New Balance sneakers similar and here, Saint Laurent bag, J.Crew jeans
