In the picture above, I’m wearing a top from The Row I purchased many years ago. Perhaps over five, I can’t remember exactly. What I do remember is my hesitation in deciding if it would get a fair amount of wear. It has, and more so than I imagined. It works year round to wear with jeans or trousers, to dress up or down, summer or winter. A piece I’ve come to love so much, I don’t think I’d ever part with it. And, it almost always makes it way into my suitcase when I travel.
Fast forward to today’s offerings and you know why I’m intrigued with these similar in silhouette tops. The ivory and yellow pieces are from Dries van Noten, and absolutely gorgeous. I’ve seen a matching ivory skirt on a couple of sites to make a set. Having both pieces to wear together would make a stunning outfit, or on their own equally chic. The yellow version is an exceptional hue and makes it hard to choose between the two.
Another option at a friendlier price point is the Parachute top from COS. It looks more voluminous than the others but worth giving a try. For a shot of bold color, it also comes in a bright apple green. Definitely a statement making choice.
