I don’t own a lot of brown but it’s an interesting color with a lot of depth and I’d like to sprinkle a bit of it into my wardrobe. To avoid appearing drab, I’ll look for deep shades then either layer complimenting hues or contrast with pale gray or white. I like the combination of a cool tone with one that’s warm.
Not only does this color story feel right for fall, the specific pieces above are in one or two of my carts. Toteme’s lightweight blazer in grey jersey has ease written all over it. A great piece for travel, to dress up or down, and feel comfortable in. I can imagine it being a grab and go favorite. A mesh polo will help me transition to the new season without the heaviness of a sweater. Nubuck bags have caught my eye this season too. We haven’t seen much of it in years and I love the introduction of a soft, matte texture to an outfit. My LAGOS studs have been worn on repeat lately adding just the right amount of shine and metal to more subdued looks. They’re simple, classics. And a pair of beautiful frames is an easy uplifting purchase when I want a quick way to freshen my look. The colors on Barton Perreira’s Gesner sunglasses are beautiful and the style is both sporty and elegant..

What a coincidence that you should post on brown. I am usually a grey fanatic, but yesterday, I happened upon the prettiest heather brown sweater, which will fit right in. I’d love a brown suede bag and maybe some tweed pants. My optical store carries Barton Perreira and I love their frames.

That sounds beautiful! I love the depth of a heathered knit.

I just bought COS’s chocolate brown cashmere roll neck for all the reasons you state above. Brown seems fresh this Autumn.
