THIS & THAT

THIS & THAT

A GOOD BUY: In a post a few weeks ago, I referenced a cashmere sweater from Banana Republic (BR) as a nicely styled, well-priced cashmere knit worth looking into. I ordered it in grey and am pleased with the quality, weight and construction. The proportions are good too. I took a size medium – which was generous in fit (also available in petite). I’m going to revisit BR for additional colors.

NAIL SAVER: My nails turned on me a few years ago with unsightly spots. I investigated the cause with several dermatologists ruling out fungus infections, nail diseases, and vitamin deficiencies. There were no clear answers. I went over a year without polish to let them breath but that did nothing. They actually got weaker and started splitting. I resorted to gel manicures which helped with appearance and snags but the upkeep eventually got to me and the gel was removed. My newly bare nails were surprisingly less spotted but severely weakened from the damaging removal of gel polish.

Enter the nail saving KUR Get Well Nail Recovery by Londontown treatment.  I applied it exactly as instructed (using the Londontown Strengthening Lacquer Remover as well) and within two weeks my natural nails started to look and feel healthy. I’m beyond thrilled and highly recommend this treatment if you have nail issues or want to be free of gels. It saved my nails.

EYEGLASSES: Lots of you had questions about my eyeglasses in last week’s post. They are the Kaine style from LOOK OPTIC. I have several pair to leave around the house and another for my bag. They’re great… lightweight and comfortable. Use code STYLE15 for 15% off.

Just ordered the sweater in two colors, the light gray and the light camel. It’s beautiful and looks well made. Thanks for the recommendation.

I just ordered the Get Well Nail Recovery and the Strengthening Lacquer Remover. My nails too have become thin and weak due to gel manicures. I had never heard of this brand, thanks for the info!
