MY NEW FAVORITE JEANS

MY NEW FAVORITE JEANS

I was on the hunt for a specific style jean last month. I wanted an overall loose fit with minimal distressing but a faded wash, a mid-high waist and a slight puddle for length to wear with both flats or low heels. Found. This is my newest pair of jeans and current favorite. The Annina from Citizens of Humanity has all of the features I was looking for and became an instant yes when I put them on. The wash is nice when I want a more elevated look and serves as a good base to layer with a blazer. They run very big. I’d size down at least one, perhaps two sizes.

The darker denim Madewell shirt works well with them too. The very close match in finish and color creates an overall monochromatic effect elongating the whole look. I’ve paired them with or without a belt and like both for different occasions.

The blazer and belt are both Nili Lotan staples in my closet I wear all the time. They’re simply well made classic pieces. I have the belt in brown too and love its unassuming, no logo style.

Citizens of Humanity jeans also here and here. Madewell shirt as before and here. Nili Lotan blazer and belt (also here and here)

This look is perfect for you! I absolutely love your taste and style but am 5″1′ and it would be great if you could include petite links for similar styles in your posts. I understand it might not always be practical but it would be helpful. Thanks for your consideration.

Hi Ann. I do try when I see them available. Did you read Monday’s post. There were petite links to those jeans.

The denim and the denim on week is/has been such an inspiration. I live kind of in the country so I opt for denim most of the time. The denim column of color with a layering piece is a go to for me. As far as boat shoes I have gone old school and ordered a pair of canvas and leather Sperrys. Finally, you can’t beat old Gap jean shirts and jackets. Some of my Gap jean pieces are at least 25 years. Old.

Agree. Old denim is the best denim!
