LAYERING TEXTURES

LAYERING TEXTURES

Layering a palette of single hued textures keeps a monochromatic look interesting. The matte finish of a soft knit paired with the shine on a puffer or dense depth of a plush jacket is a perfect example. I’d extend the mix with suede shoes and a nubuck bag. With everything in the same friendly hue, it doesn’t matter if they match…again creating a visually appealing outfit.

Side note on jeans…I was on the hunt for a straight leg, somewhat slim but not tight silhouette and found The Ruler from Frame. The denim is heavier than some of the other Frame jeans I’ve tried which gives them a very flattering fit. I liked them so much in this faded blue wash, I bought a second color – Grit. They’re winners!

Frame jeans in faded blue here, here, and here (also in Grit), Herno faux fur jacket, Favorite Daughter sweater (here too), Herno puffer, Lie bracelet, The Row bag, Gucci shoes
