This Week’s Favorite Finds: The Travel Edit

This Week’s Favorite Finds: The Travel Edit

Over years of traveling, I’ve got packing down to a science. With so many travel-friendly items constantly being introduced, I think it just keeps getting easier. I’ve learned what works and will always find a place in my suitcase and what’s a waste of space. As many long-time readers know, I pack super efficiently, usually with the goal of a carry-on in mind. For long vacations, that doesn’t always work, but even with a larger suitcase, I ruthlessly edit. Everything needs to have a purpose and be versatile. Many of you have asked for more packing guides, so this week’s picks focus on travel-friendly pieces.

Not all comfort shoes are unsightly. This hybrid sneaker/oxford checks off a lot of boxes for a travel-friendly shoe.

I usually take some type of lightweight field jacket that looks good tossed over anything.

UV Protective Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 50+

I’ve started to use a silk pillowcase at home to prevent bed head (plus all the other benefits), so why not pack one when traveling? I’d go for a color to insure I’d remember to bring it home. Slip – Beauty Sleep To Go!

Not all hotels provide great hairdryers, so often I’ll bring my own. T3 – Featherweight Compact Folding Dryer

Brush Set

These fold flat valet trays are a great way to corral jewelry and littles when away (or at home). Square Valet Tray

Aerin travel brush

Nail polish remover pads

A unique luggage tag.

A suctioned magnifying mirror is a must.

The Laundress 2 oz. Static Solution

I love having these scented towlettes with me on the go.

soften wrinkles behind the knee

A pair of dark jeans that go from day to night.

Wide opening, pliable Silicone travel bottles

A lightweight foldable hat to tuck away in my bag.

A travel extension cord and USB charger comes in handy.

I always have a cashmere travel wrap in my carry-on. I just added a soft pink one to my growing collection.

Packable straw fedora

Tumi grounded travel adapter

A low-profile, neutral sneaker like these from APL

Multi tasking tops that can be dressed up or down. Zebra blouse

If I can get away with not packing heels for a trip, I’ll opt for a chic little flat that works with everything. GiGi sandal

I stick to nylon for an all day, comfortable cross body. Prada Small Nylon Crossbody Bag

A tote that goes from beach to street: Playa Tote

Comfort and style in a cushioned footbed summer sandal

I like the idea of a somewhat tailored long short that would be chic day or night. Embroidered high-rise cotton-twill shorts (sold out)

The men’s department often has the most low-key options in hats. This straw panama style is packable and not too beachy.

Wool felt valet tray

Birkenstock ‘Gizeh’ Birko-Flor Thong Sandal

I like to have a lightweight scarf with me to cover my chest from too much sun. Gingham Cotton Gauze Scarf

Nice looking sneakers for both touring and exercising: adidas NMD R1

A passport cover in bright white to spot quickly in a bag. (similar)
