Just like transitioning my wardrobe for spring, I like to seasonally tweak my makeup. While shopping at Nordstrom last week, specifically to pick up extras of my Clé de Peau favorites, I spent time browsing my other go-to brands to see what would provide a fresh look. With the assistance of a Nordstrom beauty advisor, it didn’t take long to conclude that peach hues provided an immediate boost. They gave my skin tone a veil of warmth which is exactly what I wanted for transitioning to spring. Compared to the rose/neutral tones I’ve been using, the overall result was subtle but effective.
Once I identified a blush and lipstick would do the trick, it was easy to narrow down my options from the brands I like best. I started with Tom Ford’s blush/bronzer combo. The soft finish adds a pretty glow and is all I want to wear most days. I tried a number of lip colors and settled on a flattering shade of coral pink lipstick from Charlotte Tilbury. It will work nicely day or night. Regardless of what product I use on my lips, I need to prep with a neutral colored lipliner for definition and staying power.
Along with fresh color, I asked for assistance in perfecting a subtle winged eye look. Clé de Peau’s dual tipped brush liner went on smoothly and forgave my not so steady hands. Balancing the look of the liner, we defined my brows with Tom Ford’s Brow Sculptor filling in any sparse areas. At home, these applications will be preceded by the concealer with SPF that I use every day and absolutely love.
If I want more drama, I’ll start with the Clé de Peau Primer and a Westman Atelier foundation for a more polished finish. Then, I’ll smudge the liquid liner with the charcoal and brown shades from the Westman Atelier Les Nuits Eye Pods Eyeshadow Trio. I’ve previously posted on all three of these items here, here, and here. So quick and easy.
